Mission Statement
Lake Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. promotes self-sufficiency, mental wellness and recovery, and an enhanced quality of life for all individuals with mental illnesses and chemical abuse disorders by providing effective, accessible and culturally sensitive services.

Who We Are
Lake Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. is a private, not-for profit corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors. It is a charitable organization qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Lake Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. operates programs licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health and the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.

Our Beliefs

• Mental illness and chemical dependencies are treatable disorders from which individuals can recover.
• Persons with mental illnesses and chemical abuse disorders can have a high quality of life, with proper rehabilitation and supports.
• Public advocacy is necessary to combat the stigma of mental illness and chemical dependency.
• Inclusion of peers, families and significant others in services promotes successful outcomes.
• Partnerships must be established with all who have a stake in an individual's recovery.
• Services must be culturally relevant and sensitive.
• Services must be integrated into the community to be effective.
• Our staff is out most important asset.
• New and innovative programs must be explored to achieve improved outcomes in the future.
• Integration of health care and behavioral health services is necessary.
• Collaborative efforts offer opportunities to improve services and achieve greater efficiencies.
